I work with all the wonderful individuals, schools, groups and volunteers who do amazing things to support the charity. I’ve only been with Honeypot since the beginning of the year but I’m having a great time and have already met some fantastic people.

I’m here to give you all the support and advice you need to make sure you enjoy supporting us, so if you’d like to find out more about how you can help or want to discuss some ideas please get in touch!

Irene Collins

Children Services Respite Co-ordinator
irene@honeypot.org.uk

Hi I am Irene the Children Services Respite Co-ordinator. I have worked for the charity for nearly 10years supporting Clare with all the admin that is required to get the 100’s of children to Honeypot House that we support each year.

I am often the one up to my ears in paperwork and usually the voice at the end of the telephone making sure we have 12 children for every weekend. But the best bit of all is being able to write and post all the birthday cards to our Honeypot children.

Richard Cooper

Corporate Partnerships Manager
Richard@honeypot.org.uk

I have been with Honeypot for 2 years and have really enjoyed my time here as it is a fantastic charity to work for. I have extensive experience in corporate account management and have developed a broad range of partnerships in my time here. I initially got involved in charity work through various voluntary placements in the UK and overseas. I have also taken part in many challenges myself such as trekking in the Himalayas and The Alps, and have organised a number of sporting events, including our annual bike ride.

I understand the pressures that you face as a business, and the personal commitment and reward you get from challenging yourself. I’m keen to work with corporate partners to ensure that our journey together is mutually successful, easy to manage and that you really see the benefits of the effort that you put in.

Sophie Garrett

Events and Donor Development Officer
Sophie@honeypot.org.uk

I coordinate the events at The Honeypot Children’s Charity where there is an event for everyone to be involved in, whether it is something active or something for your social calendar! We also have lots of exciting ideas for events over the next few years and would love to hear from you if you are interested in taking part or would like us to be the beneficiary charity for an event you are organising.

I have been working as Events and Donor Development Officer at Honeypot since January 2011. During that time I have supported our runners at a number of events in London and met many of our fabulous supporters. Previously to Honeypot I coordinated Special Events at Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. In my time there I organised two trips for sick children and their families to go to Disneyland for a weekend away from it all. At Honeypot the children experience this every weekend with a visit to Honeypot House! I am looking forward to being part of the many more exciting events we have coming up!

Clare Holloway

Children Services Manager
clare@honeypot.org.uk

Hello I am Clare Children Services Manager for The Honeypot Children’s Charity and I have been here for over 10 years.

The best part of my role is working out in the community visiting the children who will be coming to Honeypot for the every first time in their family home; finding out what they enjoy doing and being able to treat them as an individual; so the respite break is tailor made for them. Then seeing them at breakfast on that first morning after arriving at the house, all excited about the many activities they may take part in.

I have a brilliant team of staff who are professional, dedicated and always ready to give the children a magical experience.

Honeypot is a very special place and is and will be always be there are the wonderful children we are able to support.

Rani Johal

Trusts and Foundations Officer
Rani@honeypot.org.uk

Since starting Honeypot in July 2010 as Trusts and Foundations Officer I have been totally inspired by the people who work here. They have tremendous energy, love, passion and care for the servicers they deliver and the children they support. I hope that I can learn and continue to be inspired by the staff at Honeypot. Thank You Honeypot!

I feel really privileged to be part of such a team and honoured that I have the job of fundraising for Honeypot. Our core bank of trusts continue to support Honeypot each year as they believe in the services we deliver and our organisation.

10 things I like about Honeypot are:

1. Services are child lead
2. Tried and tested formula
3. We listen
4. We care
5. The staff at Honeypot believe in the services they deliver
6. My Line Manager – he treats me like an adult, supports me when I need it and lets me get on with it
7. Flexibility
8. Can do attitude
9. Go the extra mile
10. Honeypot inspires me!

Director of Fundraising and Communications
John@honeypot.org.uk

Having worked in the Charity Sector for the last 10 years, I can honestly say that Honeypot becomes very much a part of you. I am extremely proud of what we are achieving at the charity for our children.

I work closely with my team to ensure we are the best we can be, to ensure we allow our children to be the best they can be, and none of that can be done without our wonderful volunteers and supporters.

If you do one good thing today, do it for Honeypot! Feel free to contact myself or my team at anytime.

Cindy Steele-Jones

Playbus Manager
Cindy@honeypot.org.uk

Hi I am Cindy the Playbus and Outreach Manager for the Honeypot Children’s Charity.

I am really privileged to have a fantastic team of both play/care staff and drivers who support me to deliver a great service.

From this team we deliver the unique and diverse play bus sessions, which bring so much joy and excitement to our children both in their home communities and here at Honeypot House.

And there is also our minibus team who drive and escort children to and fro for their holiday breaks at Honeypot House. The challenge is how far can you get before those dreaded words “are we there yet” or “I need the toilet”!!

Children and staff are fantastic but the usual vehicle maintenance and transport issues leave me with my hair thinning!! But of course, I would not change it when you see the smiles and hear the laughter you know it’s all worth it.

Leanne White

Playbus and Outreach Worker
Leanne@honeypot.org.uk

Hi I am Leanne the one and only full time play bus & outreach worker.

I support Cindy on a day to day basis planning sessions, maintaining supplies (shopping!!) and keeping the play bus shiny and sparkly inside.

The best bits are seeing so many happy smiley faces, being able to visit some very needy children and brighten up their day. The excitement as the play bus pulls in and there are familiar faces beaming & waving at you.

I get to be part of their lives for a short time supporting and encouraging them to be confident and happy. We make bracelets, do arts & crafts, sing & dance but the best bit of all is to see children make friends and have fun.
