4 of our Honeypot children and their families were interviewed about their lives as young carers in the Daily Mail to highlight the issues they face, and what Honeypot does for them. The article appears online and in a centre-spread of the 03/02/17 edition of the paper.
- Emily (9) and Carrie-Ann (6) are sisters who care for their disabled mother who suffers from fibromyalgia.
- Nathan (10) cares for his mother, who has been blind since childhood as a result of a brain tumour.
- Ernie (9) cares for his mother, who also suffers from fibromyalgia.
We’re delighted to have the Daily Mail help raise awareness of our young carers who all too often go unnoticed in society, as well as covering the heroism they show to look after their families.
