Our flagship fundraising event, the bi-annual Honeypot Party, rocked out to the sounds of the 80s on Thursday 23rd March, raising an incredible £270,000 to support young carers and vulnerable children aged 5-12. With the legendary Billy Ocean entertaining and some amazing auction prizes donated by our supporters and Trustees, the evening at The Dorchester displayed all the bright colours and fads that so epitomised the 80s.
For a small charity such as ourselves that raises a little over a million a year, it cannot be understated just how significant an event like this is, and we would like to thank Billy Ocean, The Dorchester, Charlie Ross, our Trustees, all the volunteers who came to help us on the night, and last but certainly not least, our kind guests for their longstanding support and generosity. We’re touched by how readily our guests sprang to the opportunities to sponsor children, as well as pledge money to buy new equipment for our Honeypot Houses for our young carers to use while on respite breaks.
All the proceeds will go towards supporting young carers and vulnerable children at a time when our need has never been greater with the expansion of our services to Wales, the West Midlands and the North West of England. Our thanks go out again to everyone who made the evening such a success.
