Lottery & Statutory
Honeypot has a dedicated resource to engage with Lottery and Statutory funders. We are interested in working in partnership with our wider network of referring organisations to explore joint funding applications and joint public sector contract bids. See our current list of funders below. Please contact us for more information.

-

-

Carers Support Fund

-
150 families with £100 in food vouchers
-
20 families with grants from our Wellbeing Fund for goods or services valued up to £250
The Short Breaks Scheme and the Carers Support Fund are overseen by Carers Trust Wales and funded by the Welsh Government.

Shared Care Scotland - Creative Breaks Fund
Funding from the Scottish Government to support a new collaborative project between Honeypot and South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (SAHSCP), enabling many young carers from South Ayrshire to benefit from Respite Breaks, Memory Making Days and Bumble Days.
The initiative, titled Early Identification of and Short Breaks for Wee Carers, aims to reach and support children as young as four who are providing care for a loved one but are not currently supported by commissioned carers services. Many 'hidden' young carers are first identified through their schools, often only once they reach a crisis point at around age 12.
By engaging with schools and families earlier, this project will help identify and support children before their caring responsibilities begin to negatively impact their wellbeing, education and future development.

Ayrshire Rural and islands Ambition (ARIA) Fund
The ARIA Fund, via lead partner South Ayrshire Council, have awarded Honeypot a grant of £29,036 towards our Playground for Young Carers project. The grant will be used to install outdoor playground equipment at Honeypot Dalleagles to be enjoyed by young carers for years to come. The ARIA fund is part of the Scottish Government's Community Led Local Development (CLLD) programme.

Household Support Fund
In collaboration with Hampshire County Council, Honeypot distributed £100 food vouchers to 100 vulnerable young carer families in 2025. The vouchers were funded through the Department for Work and Pensions’ Household Support Fund which was created to support those most in need and to help with the cost of essentials.

Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme 2025
Hampshire County Council accepted Honeypot as a HAF provider for 2025. Through this fund we enabled 72 young carers from Hampshire who are eligible for Free School Meals to attend one of our residential breaks during the 2025 Easter, Summer and Christmas School Holidays.
The government’s HAF programme aims to provide healthy meals, enriching activities and free childcare places to children from low-income families during school holidays, benefitting their health, wellbeing and learning. Research has shown that school holidays can be pressure points for some families, and for some children that can lead to a holiday experience gap.
Lottery funding

National Lottery Community Fund - Awards For All
Honeypot received funding from the Lottery’s Awards for All programme in 2025 for our work with young carers at Honeypot Hampshire in England and Honeypot Pen y Bryn in Wales. The funding helped pay for frontline staff salaries who engage and support young carers during Memory Making Days and Respite Breaks.

Scottish Children's Lottery
The Lottery granted Honeypot funding to deliver our first Health & Wellbeing Break in Scotland. We have years of experience running this programme in England and Wales, and we are excited to adapt it to local context in Scotland.
The Scottish Children’s Lottery has kindly invited Honeypot to be one of their chosen charities, which means that when people choose us, at least 20% of their ticket sales will be donated to Honeypot. The lottery is open to anyone in the UK.

New Forest Community Lottery
New Forest Community Lottery is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in the New Forest. Honeypot is a chosen charity, meaning that for every £1 ticket sold, 60p goes to Honeypot… and you get the chance to win the weekly £25,000 jackpot! Plus, for every ticket you buy, you will also receive a free entry into the monthly super draw.

The Health Lottery Foundation
The Health Lottery Foundation was set up in January 2025 and makes sure that the money raised by Health Lottery players flows back into local communities and makes a difference where it’s most needed. It funds projects that unite people to improve health, wellbeing and happiness.
