Volunteering
Volunteers are absolutely vital to our service. Put very simply, without them, we couldn’t exist. We have lots of volunteering opportunities available in fundraising and during our Respite Breaks (on the weekend during term-time, or week days in school holidays) and Health & Wellbeing Breaks (during the week). Volunteer opportunities can be full or part days and can be tailored to fit your availability.
We are particularly seeking volunteers for our houses in Powys and East Ayrshire. To apply for any of our volunteering roles please complete and submit our application form.

-
Painters and decorators
-
Minibus drivers
Respite break volunteer
The fun activities we offer the children who come to our houses are an ideal opportunity for you to come and volunteer. You will enjoy taking part in go-karting, den building, baking, arts and crafts, reading and theatre productions, as well as photography and many other exciting activities. We seek volunteers who would like to join our amazing and dedicated team of support workers in spending a day with us. Days range from joining us for breakfast at 8am or staying for dinner at 5pm and for movie nights (popcorn and chocolate provided!) You might also help to clean up and make the children’s beds after their breaks.
Events volunteer
We hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year, from fun runs to fashion shows, and we are always looking for people to come along and help us on the day. Whether you are cheering on runners or managing a stall, we couldn’t organise these events without the help of volunteers. It’s a fantastic way to get involved with the charity, see our fundraisers doing inspiring things and hopefully have fun at the same time!
Regional volunteer
As a small charity, the support volunteers give us in their own communities is invaluable. We are looking to build a network of volunteers to represent us in their local area and to raise awareness of Honeypot and the amazing children we support. There may be opportunities to support people fundraising for us, attend events, or help us thank members of the public for their support.
Start a volunteer group
If you’re thinking of volunteering with Honeypot, why not get your friends involved too! You could start a group, get together once every couple of months and think of ways you could raise awareness of the charity or raise funds for us. We can put you in touch with other volunteers in your area and if you ask around you might be surprised how many people would like to be involved. Groups not only make volunteering more fun, they also give you more opportunities to be creative, get out there and raise awareness of Honeypot.
Collections
This is a simple and brilliant way to help raise awareness of Honeypot and raise some money for us at the same time. If you can spare a few hours then please just let us know and we can apply for permission for you to collect in a local supermarket or town centre. We will provide you with a t-shirt, collection bucket, and everything you need so please get in touch!
Handcrafted bees
Our fabulous Honeypot knitted and crocheted bees are now being used, not only in the community to raise awareness and funds for Honeypot, but are also being placed in the children’s memory bags that they take home after their visit. Get patterns and find out more >
