Our Memory Making Days are special days out between residential breaks that give children a chance to socialise with peers, explore new activities in their communities, and stay in touch with friends they have previously made at Honeypot.
Many young carers feel isolated and anxious, with limited opportunities to interact with other children. These trips include visits to a local theme park or an aquarium, a trip to the sea or a play day at one of our wonderful houses.
And, thanks to our many generous sponsors, we can sometimes offer amazing money-can’t-buy experiences that are not normally available to the general public. If you are interested in partnering with us to fund a special day out, or provide access to your site, staff or services, please get in touch >

United Airlines
Thanks to United Airlines, young carers from London enjoyed a special onboard experience at Heathrow Airport. For many it was their first time going on a plane. The magical day started by boarding a United Airlines Boeing 767-300 aircraft to enjoy festive entertainment and refreshments, followed by lunch and presents from Santa.

Pinewood Studios
A group of 80 young carers enjoyed an amazing day out at Pinewood Studios, home to the world-famous 007 stage used to film James Bond movies, and the incredible underwater filming stage used for many major films such as Pirates of the Caribbean. Their tour was topped off with treats, presents, and a private screening in Pinewood Cinema of How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

10 Downing Street
A group of young carers made a special Christmas visit to 10 Downing Street. They were welcomed by the Prime Minister, SIr Keir Starmer, and his wife Victoria, and even met Larry the cat! The Band of the Welsh Guards played Christmas classics, and the children enjoyed a party of festive treats, playing games, making holiday crafts and opening presents.
The outdoor events gave the children a sense of freedom and the chance to try new things. The day was fun and educational because we went on nature walks and did team-building activities.
