Patrons Club
Who we are
The Honeypot Children’s Charity is the only not-for-profit organisation in the UK that is wholly dedicated to providing a unique range of support services for young carers aged 5 to 12. Young carers are children who are putting their childhood on hold to provide physical, emotional and day-to-day caring for a chronically or mentally ill or disabled family member. They are the glue that keeps families together. They are very often from deprived and disadvantaged backgrounds, and they need our support to alleviate the burden of caring for loved ones every day.
For nearly 25 years Honeypot has been providing a yearly cycle of fun, carefree respite breaks and engaging outreach sessions at our two Honeypot houses. Honeypot constantly strives to add new services to this offering for young carers to address the problems they experience, including stress, anxiety and poor social skills.
Watch Bethannie, one of our young carers, talk about the impact Honeypot has had on her life and how it helped her overcome and address these problems early on in her life.
What is The Patrons Club?
Honeypot does not receive any government funding and relies entirely on fundraising, trusts, and the generosity of people like you to continue providing much-needed respite breaks. The way we aim to help more children like Bethanie is through our new Patrons Club initiative, which is designed to provide the stable, sustainable voluntary income needed for Honeypot to reach important milestones in the support for young carers. These key milestones include:
Become a patron
The direct costs of providing a whole year of support for 10 young carers is £5,250. We respectfully invite you to become Honeypot Patrons by donating at least £5,250 for two years. Our hope is that 100 people will agree to become Honeypot Patrons, which will enable us achieve our milestone of supporting 4,500 children yearly. In return for your support Honeypot will provide:
An exclusive annual Patrons Club Canapé Reception
Invitation to a private visit of one of Honeypot’s breathtaking houses
Meet the children and see for yourself the difference Honeypot breaks make for them
Listing on our elegant, restricted circulation, Patrons Club letterheaded paper, should you wish it
The right to freely use our Patrons Crest and legend during your tenure: ”We are proud to be a leading supporter and Patron of the Honeypot Children’s Charity, supporting thousands of young carers annually” in your company or foundation’s annual report and CSR materials.
A detailed annual impact report to show how your support has transformed the lives of young carers
The knowledge that you and your family or company have given young carers lifelong happy memories
