Chelsea Garden at Honeypot

A triple award-winning garden from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has been relocated to The Honeypot Children’s Charity’s Honeypot House in Hampshire, creating a lasting legacy for young carers, and children facing challenging circumstances, aged 5–12 who visit the charity.

The Addleshaw Goddard Freedom to Flourish Garden, designed by Carey Garden Design Studio, captured national attention at the 2025 show, winning an RHS Chelsea Gold Medal, Small Garden of the Year and Best Construction (Small Show Garden). Now, following its careful relocation, the garden has officially opened in its permanent home within the grounds of Honeypot House.

The project was made possible through the collaboration of Carey Garden Design Studio, teams from Addleshaw Goddard and Honeypot volunteers, who worked together to recreate the award-winning design so it can be enjoyed for years to come.

A special opening event took place at the house, attended by representatives from Addleshaw Goddard, Honeypot staff and volunteers, with speeches celebrating the garden’s new role as a peaceful space to support children’s health and wellbeing.

Originally created to reflect the calming power of nature, the garden aligns closely with Honeypot’s mission to give young carers and children who face challenging circumstances the chance to relax, recharge and enjoy carefree moments away from daily pressures. The space will now play an important role in residential breaks, providing opportunities for children to connect with nature, build friendships and simply be children.

The relocation also reflects a growing focus on sustainability and legacy from Chelsea Flower Show gardens, ensuring their impact continues long after the event itself.

For the children who come to stay at Honeypot House, the Freedom to Flourish garden will become part of their experience – a place to unwind, play, reflect and make happy memories.
