Honeypot House to House Cycle

22 May 2026

The Honeypot Children’s Charity’s House to House Cycle Challenge is back for its third year, with cyclists preparing to take on a spectacular 260-mile journey from Honeypot Pen y Bryn to Honeypot House in support of young carers and children facing difficult circumstances.

Taking place from July 16-19 during Honeypot’s 30th anniversary year, the four-day ride will see participants travel through some of the UK’s most stunning countryside and backroads, beginning in Wales before crossing into England and finishing with a celebratory welcome at Honeypot House in the New Forest.

Now firmly established as a highlight in Honeypot’s fundraising calendar, the challenge follows previous House to House rides between Hampshire and Wales, and from Scotland to Hampshire. This year’s event returns to the Wales to Hampshire route, with cyclists covering 260 miles across four days as part of the charity’s wider 30th birthday celebrations.

The route includes:

Day one - Shrewsbury to Honeypot Pen y Bryn and on to Kington

Day two - Kington to Tockington, crossing the Severn Bridge

Day three - Tockington to Salisbury

Day four - Salisbury to Honeypot House in the New Forest

For those wanting to take part in a shorter challenge, a one-day option covering the final 40 miles from Salisbury to Honeypot House in the New Forest is also available.

The cycle challenge is organised in partnership with Pie Events, who provide full logistical, mechanical and medical support throughout the ride. Accommodation, meals and guided support are included as part of the event package.

Funds raised through the challenge will help Honeypot continue providing residential Respite Breaks, Health & Wellbeing Breaks and ongoing support for young carers and children aged 5-12 who are experiencing difficult circumstances across the UK.

John Pocock, Chair of The Honeypot Children’s Charity Patrons’ Club and event founder said:

“The House to House Cycle Challenge has become a fantastic way for people to come together, take on an inspiring personal challenge and raise vital funds for Honeypot. This year’s route from Wales to Hampshire promises incredible scenery, some tough climbs and a huge sense of achievement as riders arrive at Honeypot House in the New Forest. Taking place during Honeypot’s 30th anniversary year makes this year’s challenge even more special. Every mile cycled helps support young carers and children who need a safe place to relax, play, build confidence and simply enjoy being children.”

Simmi Woodwal, CEO of The Honeypot Children’s Charity, said:

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone taking part in this year’s House to House Cycle Challenge. Now in its third year, the event continues to grow in both ambition and impact, helping to raise awareness of the challenges faced by young carers while generating vital funds to support our work. As we celebrate 30 years of Honeypot, it feels especially meaningful to see supporters coming together in this way to help create happy memories and brighter futures for more children.”
