New Honeypot Trustees

12 June 2025

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of three new individuals to the board of trustees at The Honeypot Children's Charity. Bringing a wealth of expertise, experience and an unwavering commitment to our cause, we look forward to seeing the wonderful things we'll achieve together in supporting young carers across the UK.

We are pleased to introduce Alex Kenny, Richard Houseago and Hannah Constantine.

Alex Kenny

Alex is the CEO of Blume, a marketing and contact centre services business for law firms based in Manchester, and owned by Fletchers Solicitors, where Alex is also a director and has been the senior lead on marketing for over a decade. Alex is a Marketing Academy Scholar (2017/18) with over a decade of experience leading innovative marketing campaigns that fuel growth. He is a board-level leader and innovative marketer, helping grow a high street law firm of 60 people into a private-equity backed top 100 law firm employing over 1000 people. Beyond his professional background, Alex has lived experience as a child/teenage carer, looking after a mother with Motor Neurone Disease alongside the rest of family.

Alex Kenny said:

“I am delighted to join the board of trustees at The Honeypot Children’s Charity. I know that fundraising is becoming ever more challenging in this sector, and I am looking forward to supporting the leadership team to think of new ways to spread the word about what this charity does. Personally, having helped look after a parent with MND when I was younger, I really appreciate what a moment’s respite can bring to a child in that position. I am passionate about bringing that lived experience into the conversation at board level.”

Richard Houseago

Richard is a litigation lawyer in private practice. He has more than 40 years’ experience of working mainly for the insurance market in the City of London. For over 30 of those years, he has been a law firm partner and he now leads over 100 other lawyers in a specialist team at a national law firm. Richard is a long-term supporter of The Honeypot Children’s Charity and is delighted to develop that support in the new role of trustee.

Richard Houseago said:

“I am really excited to have the opportunity of this new relationship with The Honeypot Children’s Charity and with all the great people who make it so impactful. We are certainly in some challenging times, so it is more important than ever to get behind Honeypot’s mission.”

Hannah Constantine

Hannah is a lawyer with international experience across various sectors, and a passion for driving partnerships between businesses and their communities. She serves as Corporate General Counsel for Smiths Group Plc, a FTSE 100 engineering company, and is the Founder of the Smiths Group Foundation. Hannah has also previously volunteered to support young carers on some of The Honeypot Children’s Charity Respite Breaks.

Hannah Constantine said:

“I had the fondest memories of volunteering at The Honeypot Children’s Charity, so I was over the moon when they advertised for a trustee. Young carers make a lot of sacrifices and it’s brilliant to be part of an organisation that puts their wellbeing first. I'm just starting to get to know Honeypot from this different perspective, and the dedication of the team has made a real impression on me.”

As we look to our 30th year in 2026, we remain committed to helping young carers aged 5-12 continue making happy childhood memories and building brighter futures.

About The Honeypot Children’s Charity

The Honeypot Children’s Charity provides tailored support for young carers and children aged 5-12 facing difficult circumstances, including caring responsibilities, loss, instability or other significant challenges. The children we support benefit from time away from daily responsibilities and stress, giving them the opportunity to relax, build friendships and simply be children.

Our three Honeypot houses in England, Scotland and Wales provide Respite Breaks, Health & Wellbeing Breaks, and ongoing wraparound support. These early intervention services help children build confidence, resilience and joy at a crucial stage in their lives, creating happy childhood memories and building brighter futures regardless of the barriers they face.
