Memory Making Days

Our face-to-face Memory Making days enable young carers to socialise with peers, explore new activities in their communities, and stay in touch with other young carers they have met on previous Respite Breaks, and Honeypot staff.

Many young carers feel isolated and anxious with limited opportunities to speak to other children. These trips include visits to a local theme park or an aquarium, a trip to the sea or a play day at one of our wonderful houses.

If you are a Corporate Partner who would like to fund a day or would like to offer your services please get in touch.

I just wanted to say how amazing it was to share the exhibition and SDDC workshop with the group of Young Carers from Barnet. They were fantastic and a delight to welcome to the British Museum.

The outdoor events gave the young carers a sense of freedom and the chance to try new things. The day was fun and educational because we went on nature walks and did team-building activities. The kids felt safe and encouraged to try new things because of how excited and supportive the staff were.
