How you helped us raise over £20,000 in our Big Give Christmas Challenge!

From the 3rd of December to the 10th, we at Honeypot had one week and one week only to raise £10,000 to be doubled in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. The Big Give's Christmas Challenge scheme essentially lets kind members of the public double their donation to a charity participating, thanks to generous trusts pledging to match fund any donations, but only for that window of time. This year we had the Beaulieu Beaufort Foundation and the Childhood Trust very kindly supporting our donors. We're a small charity, so to let all of our supporters know in time, and reach out to people who'd never heard of Honeypot, is a big ask. However, we were delighted to see that well before the deadline shut, we hit our target, raising £20,000 including doubling! Even better, we surpassed it -- donations just kept coming in from kind individuals wanting to support our work with young carers even if they couldn't get their gifts doubled any longer! This even makes us eligible to enter into a competition to receive a further prize donation from the Big Give.

Our final figure was £21,509!

You don't need us to tell you what a huge amount of money that is. And that will have a huge benefit here at Honeypot for our young carers. This will be able to fund respite breaks for around 66 young carers -- wow!Thank you so much to everyone who very generously supported our Big Give Christmas Challenge, and thank you to our trusts for kindly match funding. No matter how small or large the donation, it made twice the difference! If you missed your chance to get your donation doubled, you can still click here to support Honeypot's work with young carers!
