Cheering on our London Marathon heroes!
On a sunny and joyful day in South East London, 11 dedicated runners took on the incredible challenge of running the London Marathon for The Honeypot Children’s Charity, raising over £40,000 and counting! The Honeypot team was there, cheering them on every step of the way!
From the early morning start to the triumphant finish line (with an ambulance visit in between), our runners showed incredible determination and spirit over the seven hour period. Each mile they conquered made a huge difference to young carers in England, Wales, and Scotland.
The atmosphere was electric, and the streets of London were filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of encouragement.
We are immensely proud of all our marathon heroes and grateful to everyone who contributed to this remarkable achievement and donated to our cause. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting our work with young carers, aged 5-12. £40,000 could help deliver respite breaks for 81 young carers.
Thanks to your support, more young carers will get to experience the joys of being a child!
Thank you to all our runners, supporters, and everyone who played a part in this incredible journey. Together, we have shown that with determination and teamwork, we can achieve great things. Now training begins for next year!
why am i supporting honeypot?
“It was a pleasure to run the Marathon and raise money for Honeypot. As you can see in the photo, the Marathon was pretty gruelling on the body, but this is only a fraction of the challenges that many young carers face.
I am confident the money raised will go a long way to helping many of the young carers that Honeypot supports.”
“I run for Honeypot because Leah’s video makes me cry - every child deserves their childhood and every step I run is a smile, giggle or moment of fun for a young carer. ”
“Having recently experienced the commitment and pressure that comes with caring for a family member with a life-defining illness, I cannot begin to imagine my own children shouldering such a burden.
Yet, for thousands of young carers, this is their everyday reality. This is why Honeypot’s work is so important and why I wanted to run and raise funds to provide young carers a respite, and a chance to be children.”
“To have been able to raise money for such a fantastic charity like HoneyPot Children’s Charity has filled me with pride. I can’t wait to see how this money helps benefits the children’s lives.”
“Honeypot is such an amazing charity doing great work with the real young heroes who deserve all our support and encouragement to help them thrive and be themselves. I am very proud to be running the Marathon for them this year and for Addleshaw Goddard to be supporting the charity more widely.”
“The work Honeypot do for children in communities is amazing, and it’s a privilege to be supporting them.”
“The London Marathon was one of the toughest things I’ve done – that heat! However, seeing the crowds being so supportive and all the runners helping each other was such a really beautiful reminder of the good in people. I’m so proud to have crossed that finish line and to have helped raise money for Honeypot.”
“I would like to say a massive thankyou to the Honeypot Team for their support throughout the day whilst running the London Marathon 2025. It was my absolute pleasure to be part of the Honeypot Team, raise funds and support this fantastic charity. It was a fantastic day which I will always remember. ”
